Neighbourhood Watch wins award
Harborough’s Neighbourhood Watch is celebrating today after securing twenty thousand pounds, and they want to give it to you!
The organisation is one of just eight across the UK to be awarded a slice of Home Office cash.
The money is to be used to improve community safety across the district.
People are now being asked to nominate projects or ideas they think would benefit from some of the cash, such as bidding for new equipment for local youth clubs, or setting up a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your area.
You’ve got to be quick though as the deadline for nominations is March 10th.
An event will then take place to showcase all the suggestions, with the public voting on which ones should be given some of the money.
