Explosion on Industrial Estate
Riverside Sub-station blows up!
Firefighters from Billesdon were called to a fire at the electricity sub-station on the Riverside Industrial estate on Friday October 9th.
Eye-witnesses described a 'Ball of flame' reaching fifteen feet into the air. Thick black smoke could be seen across Harborough. Dozens of businesses and a number of homes in the area were without power for much of the day.
