PAUL CANN
It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of HFM presenter Paul Cann
Paul, who was 56, had been suffering from Cancer of the Oesophagus for several years. He underwent many bouts of treatment over the last couple of years, but sadly passed away at the Cransley Hospice in Kettering on Monday November 21st.
HFMs Programme Director Chris Jones says: ‘Despite his long battle, Paul continued to be enthusiastic about HFM, and presented shows until recently. This determination and courage is one of the things I shall always remember Paul for.’
Paul, who worked for the Post Office for many years, came to HFM from Kettering Hospital Radio, and was a popular and valued presenter with us on a number of RSLs and from the start of our full time licence in February 2007. He initially presented the 7-10 show each Monday.
As his illness worsened, he switched to alternate weeks with Soosie Max as well as covering other shows.
All of us at HFM send our deepest sympathies to Pauls’ wife, Bev, and his family.
